N&M PhD student Addison Konlan was one of two UW-Madison representatives at the 2026 Catalyzing Advocacy in Science and Engineering workshop held April 12-15 in Washington, D.C. The national program brings graduate students together with leaders in science policy and advocacy to explore how scientific research informs federal decision-making. He’s quoted saying, “The CASE workshop gave me a deeper understanding of how scientific research translates into policy decisions.
