N&M trainer Dr. Vanessa Leone’s lab had a strong presence at this year’s Digestive Disease Week in Chicago. New N&M alum Dr. Jake Hermanson gave a talk entitled, “Diet-Microbe-Host Interactions in Chronic Liver Disease”. MANTP trainee Evan Chrisler presented a poster entitled, “REG3Y-Resistant Lactobacilli Harbor Distinct Proteolytic Potential and Dipeptide Utilization That Underlie Resistance to Host Antimicrobial Peptides in the Small Intestine”. N&M students Kanghee Bae, Md Amran Gazi, and Crystal Qing also represented!
